What happens when dedicated film and TV lovers face seven increasingly difficult questions about one of television's most beloved cult classics? Find out in this bonus episode drawn from our previous Community discussion that was too fun to leave on the cutting room floor.

Speaker 1:

Hey folks, so no new episode today, but I do have a very special treat for you. So a few weeks back we had our episode on community with the lovely hosts of the Post Film Clarity podcast, and we had so much fun talking about one of my favorite shows of all time, so much fun, in fact, that some of it didn't even make it into the episode. So that is what today is for. So I hope you enjoy this very special treat of a very fun game of community trivia with the hosts of post film clarity. I've come up with, uh, some trivia for you guys. I'm gonna get a little, have a little game going on it's. I will let you decide if you want to work together or if you want to compete. I want to work together. I know margita's answer and now I know lindsey's answer. Yeah, I want to work together. You don't fuck this up. Uh, seven questions, uh, in honor of the greendale seven.

Speaker 1:

Um, in the very first halloween episode, introduction to statistics, what does pierce show up to annie's party dressed up as okay? Okay, is this the one where Jeff is dating the hot professor that happens in that episode? Yes, oh, my God. Okay. Is that the one where Abed is Batman. Abed is Batman in that episode. Oh my God, is it something racist? Surprisingly not. I hate Pierce. So the falconer, the beast, beast, beast master. The beast master, that's what he's. The beast master, who are you? I am the beast master. That show is old as fuck. That's right, cause he's old and no one gets his costume and he gets high on Starbirds' drugs and it's such a good moment. Next question what is the name of Jeff's fake instructor in the episode Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design? Oh my God, these are some hard questions. Wait, is it, mr Professor? I'm Professor, professison, professor. I was gonna say Professor Fake Name. I was like mm. All right, we get like a half point on that, okay. Okay, I'll give you half point on that. I'm marketing it down right now. Yum yum, one half. Okay, write that down.

Speaker 1:

In season three's Halloween episode, harder Fiction and Seven Spooky Steps, what is the name of it? Can you sing it? This is deep Shit. The song is called Daybreak. I would never have gone. You got it. Okay, half point because you carried the tune. I would never know the name of that. Damn, I think they say. I thought that was a made up song for the show. That's a real song. I think they say it once or twice within the show.

Speaker 1:

Which Fox show did Community constantly make fun of while it was filming? There we go, there we go. That's a solid answer. Now our pop music mashup Elton little John Lennon, kick it. Hey, tiny dancer. Okay, stop, cease and desist. You're the first one to get that right of people.

Speaker 1:

I've asked everybody thinks I'm making a Cougar Town reference. I'm like no, that's ABC. And also, everybody thinks I'm making a Cougar Town reference. I'm like no, that's not the one. And also, they don't make fun of Cougar Town. No, they love Cougar Town.

Speaker 1:

Abed is in Cougar Town. What is the name of Donald Glover's last episode? Oh man, when he goes to like the plumbing school? No, because he gets the. He goes on the boat trip. At the end of the episode he gets on the boat with LeVar Burr. Yeah, I said I wanted a picture. You can't disappoint a picture. I told Pierce a thousand times I never wanted to meet LeVar in person, I just wanted a picture. You can't disappoint a picture, oh man. That's another one of my favorites, speaking of film references, the documentary episode. Yeah, that was a good one. I don't remember the name of that episode I hate when he leaves the show. I know I hate it. It's not the same without Troy. It is the Floor is Lava episode. It is called Geothermal Escapism. Oh wow, what a good title. I know it's a really good title.

Speaker 1:

All my questions are deep cuts. What the fuck was I thinking? Damn it. What is the slogan for let's Potato Chips? I love the let's Potato bit because there is something else that does that too. Let's is like, it's like a fake prop company that just is in a bunch of different shows, but Community was the first one to like give it an identity, which I thought was so great, which is on track for the show itself. I don't know the slogan. I don't. It is. It is get your damn hand off my let's, get your damn hand off of my let's.

Speaker 1:

And then, last question how many episodes did the Cape last? He wanted six seasons in a movie Show's going to last three weeks. Six seasons in a movie, four. No, but it's pretty close. The Cape, it aired on NBC. It only lasted 10 episodes. 10, ugh. Yeah, and Keith David was on the Cape, no way, yep, I didn't know it was a real show. Yeah, oh, it was a real show. I thought that was a bit. No, it was a real show and Keith David was in it and Jeff comes in to do his part of the voiceover. That is, unless you get Tom Hanks. We tried to get Tom Hanks but he's too expensive, so we used the people involved for their own voiceover. Yeah, and I nailed that too.

Speaker 1:

Why are you here at the same time as me? Tight schedule, hey, were you in the cape? No, I thought it was like a show within a show. No, the cape is a real show. It was a real show. It was a real show at Arrow NBC around the same time as the Bit Like that was.

Speaker 1:

That is such a deep cut. I'm gonna watch the whole show and then I wanna redo. We're gonna do an episode on the cape. That'd be great. Oh my god, wow, what's our score, taylor? Because you got me fucked up. You got a total of three out of seven. That's embarrassing. I'm like a 10 time trivia champion.

Speaker 1:

Those are some hard questions. I don't know We've got. I don't know. It seems like an F and an F minus right now. Wrap it up, get it. No, wrap it up, I'm done. Okay, so how many did you get right? I honestly didn't think my questions were like that hard. I knew they were challenging, but I thought I thought Markina and Lindsay would get a higher score. Anyway, that's perfectly okay. These were tough questions. I realized that in hindsight. Um, so I will be back with brand new episodes of the film nuts podcast in two weeks, so please stay tuned. We have some great episodes coming up, some great movies and some great TV shows to talk about and hope y'all have a great rest of your day, week or month, whatever it is. Um hope to be with y'all soon. Bye.
